
The School MTSS Coach, reporting to the building principal, provides leadership, coaching, and direct support to educators in the implementation of a comprehensive Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS). The coach coordinates the school's MTSS plan; collaborates with administrators, teachers, and support staff; supports data-based problem solving and intervention planning; models and co-teaches lessons; provides actionable feedback; and develops professional learning to strengthen instructional practices and improve student outcomes.
Requires a Master's degree in education, educational research and measurement, curriculum and instruction, educational leadership, or a related field, supplemented by two to three years of relevant experience in education, assessment, data analysis, instructional coaching, intervention, or a related area; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Must possess a valid state driver's license.
Physical Requirements: Requires sedentary work that involves walking or standing some of the time and exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a recurring basis, as well as routine keyboard and office-equipment operations.

Professional Knowledge: Knowledge of MTSS principles and practices, evidence-based instruction and intervention, progress monitoring, assessment and data use, instructional coaching, adult learning, school improvement, and applicable District and state requirements.
Technology and Records Management: Ability to use computers, data systems, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation tools, and records-management systems effectively and accurately.
Organization and Judgment: Ability to plan, prioritize, manage multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, exercise sound professional judgment, maintain confidentiality, and work independently while seeking guidance when appropriate.
Interpersonal Temperament: Ability to work effectively with others, adapt to changing priorities, respond appropriately under pressure, and maintain a respectful, solution-oriented approach.
Physical Communication: Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to exchange information, provide coaching and professional learning, and participate in meetings and collaborative work.
Knowledge of Job: Demonstrates thorough knowledge of MTSS, instructional and intervention practices, assessment and progress monitoring, data-based problem solving, coaching, professional learning, and relevant District policies and procedures.
