About the Company

Tait Systems NZ is a newly established company tasked with constructing and operating a Public Safety Network (PSN). Its primary aim is to enhance the communications capabilities of Emergency Services Agencies by delivering modern and secure communication services, including voice and messaging, while also facilitating improved communication among various emergency service agencies.

We operate as a lean organisation, where everyone contributes to ensure we fully deliver projects on time and on budget. Innovation, a can-do attitude, and a relentless drive to improve are at the core of our identity. We seek individuals who thrive in this environment and embrace significant challenges without hesitation. This role offers the chance to be involved in a defining project in the critical communications industry within New Zealand!

About the Role

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Drawing Coordinator (Fixed Term) to play a pivotal role in supporting the successful delivery of site design drawings across the Public Safety Network programme.

Working closely with Project Managers, Site Acquisition teams, Design Engineers, and external partners, you will coordinate and drive drawing-related activities across multiple stakeholders. Your work will ensure drawings are planned, tracked, and delivered efficiently throughout the project lifecycle-helping to enable timely network deployment.

This is a fast-paced, highly collaborative role suited to someone who thrives on managing multiple priorities, enjoys working across teams, and takes pride in bringing structure and clarity to complex processes.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting Project Managers to plan, drive, and track all drawing-related activities
  • Ensuring drawings are initiated early and managed effectively through the delivery lifecycle
  • Coordinating internal and external design/drafting resources to meet priorities and deadlines
  • Monitoring performance against SLAs and providing regular reporting
  • Maintaining accurate project documentation, systems, and registers (including Nexsys One)
  • Coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, capturing minutes, and following up actions
  • Providing clear and consistent project updates to stakeholders
  • Supporting communication across project teams, vendors, and partners
  • Tracking timelines, budgets, and resources, escalating risks and issues where needed
  • Ensuring adherence to project governance frameworks and standards
  • Identifying process improvements and driving efficiencies

About You

You are a confident and experienced coordinator who enjoys working in dynamic, fast-paced environments and can manage multiple moving parts with ease.

You will bring:

  • Previous experience in project coordination, support, or administration roles
  • Experience within telecommunications, ideally across PMO or service delivery environments (5+ years preferred)
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with high attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across diverse stakeholders
  • Solid IT capability across Microsoft Office and project tools/systems
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and high volumes of work simultaneously
  • A proactive, self-starting approach with strong problem-solving capability
  • Experience with site design drawings or drafting (desirable)
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile, PRINCE2, or PMBOK (desirable)
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to support team success
