
Drainage Crew Leader - Sewer Depth Monitoring
Purpose and scope of the role
You will lead a two- Person Team in installing, commissioning and maintaining sewer depth monitors, flow-survey sensors and associated telemetry across the local wastewater network. Leading in a permanent two-person team, you will be accountable for the completion of site assessments, routine calibrations, fault diagnosis and digital job-sheet reporting.
Training is provided; health and safety and confined-space procedures are integral to daily operations.
Your impact in this position
In the short term you will deliver reliable installations and accurate survey data that support operational decision‑making. Over the medium term you will develop technical troubleshooting, telemetry and commissioning skills, taking responsibility for increasingly complex sites. Longer term the role offers career progression into team leadership, field supervision or instrumentation and telemetry specialist roles within Tetra Tech, with access to formal training and on‑the‑job development.

Qualifications and training
Expected: full manual driving licence; basic IT literacy; demonstrable experience or interest in wastewater, utilities or field instrumentation. Training in telemetry, confined‑space entry and specific equipment will be provided.
Desirable: Prior leadership experience, confined‑space certification, previous flow‑survey experience and basic electrical or telemetry training.
Work patterns & location
This is a 40‑hour, Monday–Friday role based in Brentford with occasional night shifts and periods away as project needs dictate. Expect primarily on‑site work; office or admin days are occasional for reporting and team meetings.
