Rail plays a key part in the business that has been providing trusted rail infrastructure services for more than 30 years. Delivering drainage, vegetation and minor civils solutions across the Transport For London network, the team are dedicated to ensuring the safety, reliability, and accessibility of the rail environment for the millions of passengers who rely on it every day.

Purpose of the Role:

The Drainage Asset Surveyor / CAD Technician is responsible for supporting drainage asset validation projects across the London Underground network. The role combines office-based production of drainage drawings, asset records, and 447 Forms with occasional site visits to capture and verify drainage asset data. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with CAD or surveying experience who is looking to develop their skills in drainage and asset management.

Key responsibilities:

  • Produce and update drainage asset drawings and supporting documentation.
  • Complete and quality-check LU 447 Asset Validation Forms.
  • Review survey data, CCTV reports, drawings, and asset records.
  • Identify and record discrepancies between site assets and existing records.
  • Capture and verify drainage asset information during occasional site surveys.
  • Maintain accurate asset records and support asset validation activities.
  • Assist with CAD, data processing, and drawing production tasks.
  • Work independently or as part of a project team while complying with all safety requirements.

Key requirements

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in CAD, surveying, drainage, or asset validation.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and asset records.
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with MicroStation and ProjectWise is desirable.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to undertake occasional site work across the LU network verse world.
