OutsourcedIn is partnering with a reputable Australian building and construction company to hire a skilled Draftsperson to join their remote team.
This role involves preparing accurate architectural drawings, concept plans, and construction documentation for residential and commercial projects in compliance with building codes and client specifications. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically proficient, and experienced in drafting within the building or architectural field.
Prepare architectural drawings, site plans, elevations, and 3D concept designs for residential and commercial projects
Convert builder sketches, design briefs, and markups into detailed CAD drawings
Ensure all drawings meet BCA/NCC standards and relevant local requirements
Collaborate with builders, estimators, engineers, and consultants to finalise plans
Revise drawings based on client feedback and construction updates
Maintain proper version control and documentation for all plans
Support the team with compliance documents, DA/CDC submissions, and construction details
Proven experience as a Draftsperson in the Australian building, construction, or architectural industry (residential)
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar drafting software
Strong understanding of building codes, drafting standards, and documentation processes
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and communication skills
Able to work independently and remotely, managing multiple projects efficiently
Qualification in Building Design, Drafting, or Architecture (Certificate IV or Diploma preferred)
Experience with BASIX, DA/CDC documentation, or 3D modelling/rendering
Knowledge of construction detailing and material specifications
