GENERAL SUMMARY:
Interpret architectural drawings and finishes schedules to produce accurate manufacturing drawings
and materials take-offs.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Interpret and analyse architectural drawings and finishes schedules to produce accurate detailed shop drawings and manufacturing information
· Apply industry best practices and company construction method standards to all drawings
· Use advanced troubleshooting techniques to identify and correct potential design issues
· Prepare requests for information when required
· Prepare accurate material and hardware take-offs
· Analyse manufacturing information to ensure material waste is minimized
· Research specified product information to ensure functionality of the design and compliance with regulations
· Follow all company WH&S policies and actively participate in toolbox meetings, risk assessments and the use of PPE.
· Conduct Quality Control checks of all completed work
· Actively participate in and contribute to company continuous improvement programs
· Other adhocs as needed
