Job Description

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial and procurement aspects of our projects, working closely with the DPG_Tendering & Prequalification department. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring our projects are delivered within budget and meet the high standards of Dubai Properties Group LLC. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our organization and shape the future of our projects.

  • Execute procurement and commercial strategies for allocated projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Prepare and review tender documents, ensuring compliance with legal and contractual requirements.
  • Evaluate and analyze tender submissions, conducting thorough due diligence on potential suppliers and contractors.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders, aiming for the best possible terms and conditions.
  • Monitor and manage project costs, identifying potential cost overruns and implementing cost-saving measures.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of all commercial and procurement activities, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Provide commercial and contractual advice to project teams, offering guidance on best practices and potential risks.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and design, to ensure seamless integration of commercial and procurement activities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies to enhance procurement strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, maintaining a high standard of ethical conduct.
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction or real estate industry.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement and commercial practices, including tendering processes and contract law.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for cost estimation, tender evaluation, and contract management.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
