
Discovery College is searching for an exceptional educator to fill the position of DP Chemistry/MYP Teacher of Science position. Successful appointees will teach IB Diploma Chemistry at both higher and standard level, as well as MYP Science (integrated). The ability to teach a subject outside of the sciences will be an advantage. Teachers teach a range of student abilities and classes and are accountable for the effective delivery of their curriculum. The classroom teacher engages in critical reflection in order to improve their knowledge and skills to better engage students and improve their learning.
Main Accountabilities
Additionally, the successful candidate will also be expected to have a significant impact on the College’s extra-curricular programme, and one opportunity to do this is in relation to sports. A wide range of sports are played at the College, both competitively and for leisure, including badminton, basketball, cross-country, cricket, football, golf, netball, rugby, swimming and volleyball. Minimum Typical Education
Bachelor Degree in Education, or Bachelor Degree in any subjects with PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate of Education), or equivalent
Minimum Typical Experience
An understanding of the IB and the key underpinnings of the curriculum frameworks is essential
