Performs professional outreach work as directed by the Economic Development Department. Serves as a key point of contact for Downtown Orlando businesses and community members seeking information and resources. Responsibilities include developing and implementing outreach initiatives to foster strong connections, overseeing the day-to-day operations of Downtown Orlando's visitor information center and retail store, and developing and executing special projects and programs to engage with the local community, and supervising staff Work is performed independently and reviewed by the Downtown Development Board/Community Redevelopment Agency's (DDB/CRA) Marketing & Communications Manager through regular meetings and communication. Must periodically work evening hours, weekends, and holidays.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Public Administration, or related field and two (2) years of business outreach experience, including one (1) year of experience in a progressively responsible lead or supervisory capacity and some customer service experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Accounting knowledge is preferred. Valid Florida Driver's License required. Must pass background check which includes a polygraph.

If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:

  • Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
  • Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
  • Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
  • Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
