JOB DUTIES:
JOB SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Bachelor of Science degree required. Must have completed or be in the process of completing a formal medical dosimetry program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT), or foreign equivalent, and be eligible for graduation upon program completion.
Must hold or be eligible to obtain American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (T) certification and Iowa Department of Public Health Permit to Practice.
Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) certification or eligibility is required. Successful completion of CMD certification is required within three (3) years of hire.
Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training is required within 6 months of hire and every 3 years thereafter.
Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) required. New employees certify within three (3) months after hire date.
Must have experience in radiation therapy.
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
Possess strong mathematical skills and be able to visualize objects in 3-dimensional concepts to facilitate planning process.
Must be able to work under pressure due to fluctuating workloads and deadlines.
High degree of empathetic listening, tact and kindness toward others.
Ability to communicate well verbally. Must work effectively as a member of a team.
Strong computer knowledge
Technical skills associated with duties listed within this job description. Must be competent in all assigned areas.
Must demonstrate leadership and organizational skills as required for this position.

Pella Regional Health Center is a critical access hospital in central Iowa with integrated family practice, internal medicine providers as well as general surgeons and gynecologists. Pella Regional has medical clinics in five communities (Pella, Knoxville, Ottumwa, Prairie City, Sully and Bussey) and outpatient services like Hospice of Pella and Home Health Care that extend well beyond the walls of the hospital.
