If you are energized by innovation, motivated by meaningful impact, and passionate about elevating patient care through exceptional planning, you will find Sanford Health to be the perfect place to grow and contribute.Generates dose distributions accurately and calculates computerized isodose plans for the patient as prescribed by a radiation oncologist and directed by a medical physicist.Computes radiation dose distributions, generates isodose curves, and documents in the radiation oncology electronic record effectively. May provide direction or assistance with challenging simulation setups or custom treatment devices. Extensive knowledge of radiation, anatomy, normal tissue contouring, medical imaging fusion, and cross-sectional anatomy is required. Consults with and works as a part of a radiation oncology team to deliver individualized treatment. Must be able to perform dosimetry procedures with the department's treatment planning computers and protocols.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following: Radiation Therapy, Radiation Science, or Radiography and graduation from a Medical Dosimetry Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited program of at least 12 months. Will consider new grads or non-certified with two years' experience as a medical dosimetrist.
Current Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB) consider new grads.
Certified Medical Dosimetrist or obtaining certification within three years of hiring is required.
