Duties and Responsibilities
This position will exercise professional independent judgment regarding complex Elections processes in accordance with Chapters 99-106, Florida Statutes and Section 1S-2, Florida Administrative Code.
Assists in the training of new staff members and quality review of staff work products. Helps Team Lead of the Review Staff develop improvement plans and procedural improvements. Participates in the development and implementation of training through personal, workshop and video trainings regarding the elections processes.
Conducts quality assurance reviews of state, federal, multi-county and judicial candidate filing documents, as well as political committee and electioneering communication organization filing documents for determination of statutory and rule compliance. Serves as backup contact for office account filings and credentialing, and backup contact to the public on the office account process and requirements.
Communicates in writing or via phone calls with candidates, sitting officials and committee officers regarding filing documents, qualification requirements, petition requirements, confidential credentials and campaign finance reporting; documents communications and results in the account.
Assists candidates and officers with the requirements for filing campaign finance reports in the Electronic Filing System.
Where candidates or committees are found to be non-compliant, this position will issue final notices, which may result in the issuance of legal documents by this position such as drafting of referrals to the Florida Elections Commission or Final Orders of Cancellation of Registration.
Researches multiple databases, imaging system and documentation to gather decision-making information for purposes of resolving campaign account and/or legislative office account issues. Updates databases with new account information or changes to the account information.
Reviews documentation and inputs valid contributions for the Public Campaign Finance (Matching Funds) for candidates for offices of Governor and cabinet.
Performs other duties as assigned.
