Minimum Qualifications:

  • Documented State of Florida regulatory experience or in a computer related field.
  • Florida Class E driver's license or an out-of-state equivalent driver's license

Preferences:

  • Preference will be given to applicants with documented experience in a computer related field. This is a limited position. Expected time frame is March - November 2026.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist with election system testing activities intended to assess regulatory compliance with applicable standards, statutes, and administrative rules, including documenting and reporting test results.

Perform unofficial election observations and, upon request, provide written reports within timeframe specified by management.

Performs other related duties as required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of state government operations;
  • Knowledge of computer systems;
  • Ability to understand/explain statutes/rules/regulations;
  • Ability to establish/maintain effective working relationships with others;
  • Ability to prepare written reports and correspondence in good form

Other job-related requirements for this position:

  • It is essential to the functions of the position, and a condition of employment, that this employee be available to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed, with short notice.
  • The employee must be available to travel on a regular basis and with little or no prior notice, including, but not limited to areas where voting and/or voting operations have been adversely affected by natural disaster or other occurrence, and to temporarily relocate to such area(s), to perform the duties of this position.
