Why this role matters
The Salvation Army (Salvos) Doorways model of care provides holistic financial supportto individuals and families seeking short term financial assistance and ongoing financial management support services. The Doorways Team provide person-centred trauma informed care, facilitate short-term financialassistance,and walk side-by-side with participants as they build the skills and knowledge to break the cycle of poverty.
About the role
As a Case Worker - Doorways, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals and families during challenging times. Through person-centred case management, advocacy and community collaboration, you will empower people to identify their goals, access essential supports and build confidence for the future. Working closely with church leaders, volunteers and local service providers, you will help deliver a compassionate, responsive and integrated service that creates meaningful outcomes for the community.
Reporting to the Regional Manager, this is a permanent part‑time position, 22.8 hours per week,based on-site in Bairnsdale, VIC.
Conditions
Compensation is in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award (SCHADS) Level 4.

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.
We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.
With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.
We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
