At InterContinental Residences Dubai Business Bay, we are seeking a Door Person / Bell Person to create exceptional first and last impressions by delivering warm, personalised, and seamless arrival and departure experiences for every guest.

This role is ideal for an energetic, guest-focused, and service-driven professional who takes pride in welcoming guests, assisting with luggage, escorting residents and guests to their residences, supporting transportation arrangements, and providing knowledgeable assistance throughout their stay.

This Is More Than a Door Person / Bell Person Role

As a Door Person / Bell Person, you will be one of the first and last points of contact for our guests and residents. Your professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine care will help create memorable experiences while ensuring every arrival and departure is effortless, personalised, and welcoming.

You will combine the responsibilities of a Door Person and Bell Person, maintaining a polished and welcoming presence at the entrance while providing efficient luggage, escort, and guest assistance services.

The Gig

Reporting to the Assistant Front Office Manager, the Door Person / Bell Person supports guest arrivals, departures, luggage handling, entrance operations, transportation assistance, and guest requests throughout InterContinental Residences Dubai Business Bay.

You will be responsible for ensuring every guest and resident receives attentive, professional, and efficient assistance from the moment they approach the entrance until they depart.

Your Day-to-Day

No two days are the same. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Door & Arrival Services

• Welcome guests and residents warmly and professionally upon arrival.
• Open and hold vehicle and entrance doors as appropriate.
• Assist guests with entering and exiting vehicles safely.
• Maintain a visible and welcoming presence at the residence entrance.
• Assist with taxi, limousine, valet, and other transportation arrangements.
• Coordinate with Concierge and Front Office to support arriving and departing guests.
• Recognise and appropriately acknowledge returning guests, residents, VIPs, and special occasions.

Bell & Luggage Services

• Assist guests with luggage handling, storage, and delivery.
• Escort guests to guestrooms and residences.
• Explain residence features, facilities, services, and relevant information during the escort.
• Assist departing guests with luggage and transportation arrangements.
• Deliver guest items, messages, amenities, packages, and other requested items efficiently.
• Maintain accurate luggage handling procedures and records.
• Ensure luggage and personal belongings are handled with care at all times.

Guest Service

• Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and enquiries.
• Provide directions and information about residence facilities, Dubai attractions, restaurants, shopping, and local destinations.
• Anticipate guest needs and provide personalised assistance whenever possible.
• Assist with transportation and local arrangements when required.
• Communicate relevant guest requests and preferences to the appropriate department.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism during all guest interactions.

Operational Support

• Coordinate with Front Office regarding arrivals, departures, VIPs, room readiness, and special requests.
• Support Concierge operations during busy periods.
• Maintain an organised and efficient bell desk and entrance area.
• Ensure luggage storage areas are clean, organised, and secure.
• Keep luggage carts and guest service equipment clean and in excellent condition.
• Assist other Front Office operations when required.

Safety & Security

• Handle guest belongings with care and professionalism.
• Follow residence procedures for luggage storage, deliveries, and access control.
• Remain alert to unusual activity and report concerns to Security or management.
• Report lost and found items promptly in accordance with hotel procedures.
• Follow all safety, security, and emergency procedures.
• Assist with maintaining a safe and unobstructed entrance and arrival area.

Property Presentation

• Maintain cleanliness, presentation, and organisation of the entrance, lobby, bell desk, and luggage areas.
• Ensure entrance areas and guest service equipment consistently meet brand standards.
• Maintain a professional personal appearance in accordance with InterContinental grooming and uniform standards.
• Support the overall presentation of the arrival experience.

What We Need From You

Ideally, you bring some or all of the following qualifications and experience:

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Hospitality qualification is an advantage.

Experience

• Previous experience in Doorperson, Bell Services, Concierge, Front Office, Guest Services, or a similar hospitality role preferred.
• Experience in luxury or upscale hotels, resorts, or residences is advantageous.
• Knowledge of Dubai attractions, destinations, and local services is beneficial.
• Valid UAE driving licence is an advantage, where operationally required.
