Position Requirements
- Current eligibility for or possession of a Virginia Teaching License with an endorsement in Special Education (specific disability categories are accepted) and Administration & Supervision
- Minimum of a Master’s degree in Special Education or Administration & Supervision
- Minimum of 3 years of prior administrative experience
- Experience teaching and working with at-risk adolescents and students in a therapeutic setting preferred
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Knowledge of curriculum development, instructional strategies, behavioral management, assessment, and educational compliance
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide administrative oversight for the Dominion Academy Therapeutic Day School program
- Ensure compliance with State and Federal Special Education Regulations and curriculum standards
- Supervise and evaluate instructors and school staff to ensure effective implementation of curriculum and instructional practices
- Lead and support professional development opportunities for staff
- Promote a positive, safe, and therapeutic school culture
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, students, and community stakeholders to support student success
- Support students in achieving academic, emotional, and behavioral goals
- Monitor school policies related to attendance, discipline, and dress code
- Coordinate emergency management procedures and day-to-day school operations
- Assist with budgeting, grant proposals, and allocation of school resources
- Maintain accurate reporting, documentation, and administrative records
- Develop and implement school procedures and operational guidelines
