22 hours per week – 7am – 6pm shifts – rota basis with alternate weekend availability required

Dean Wood Manor is a care home that provides long-term facilities for up to 50 elderly residents, as well as specialising in meeting the needs of dementia sufferers, who are able to maintain as interesting and active a lifestyle as possible under the home's care and guidance.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Domestic / Laundry Assistant, you’ll play an important role in ensuring residents enjoy a clean, safe, and comfortable environment every day. This includes:

• Following daily cleaning schedules throughout the care home
• Hoovering, dusting, polishing, and mopping floors
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
• Assisting with laundry, including washing, drying, and ironing
• Ensuring residents’ clothing and bedding are labelled and cared for correctly
• Working closely with colleagues to maintain a welcoming environment
• Supporting residents with kindness, dignity, and respect

Skills & Experience

Ideal candidates will have:

• Previous domestic or housekeeping experience
• An understanding of hygiene and cleanliness standards
• Good organisational and time management skills
• The ability to work efficiently and use initiative
• A positive attitude and willingness to support the wider team
