Your day as a Domestic Violence Coordinated Entry Specialist - Tacoma

As a Domestic Violence Coordinated Entry Specialist, you will conduct vital Coordinated Entry assessments, also known as Diversion conversations, targeting individuals who meet the HUD definition for category 4 homelessness—those fleeing domestic violence and lacking other safe housing options. Your role will involve completing both initial and ongoing training requirements for CE deputation, including HMIS trainings and Diversion refresher courses, ensuring your expertise is current and impactful. You will utilize your skills as a certified domestic violence victim advocate while entering client information into the HMIS database and collaborating with other providers to guarantee equitable access to housing services. Additionally, you will provide light-touch housing case management, assist with housing applications, and support clients with move-in costs as approved by the KWA Housing Supervisor. Proficiency in HMIS (Homeless Management Information System) is crucial for accurately entering client information and collaborating seamlessly with other Coordinated Entry providers. Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
