Our client is a leading Domestic Trucking specialist and looking to employ a Domestic Trucking Manager to be based out of Las Vegas with fantastic growth opportunity with this organisation.
A Domestic Trucking Manager oversees the operations of a trucking fleet to ensure the efficient and timely transportation of goods within a country.
Key responsibilities include managing drivers, planning routes, scheduling maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety and transportation regulations. They also handle logistics, monitor budgets, and work to optimize operations to reduce costs.
Core responsibilities
Driver and fleet management: Oversee a team of drivers, manage schedules to avoid burnout, and ensure the fleet is well-maintained and compliant with regulations.
Logistics and scheduling: Plan and optimize routes to ensure reliable and on-time deliveries.
Cost and budget control: Monitor operational budgets and find ways to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
Safety and compliance: Ensure all operations comply with legal requirements for road haulage and safety regulations.
Problem-solving: Address customer concerns and resolve issues that arise during transportation.
Required skills
Leadership and communication: The ability to lead a team and communicate clearly with drivers, other departments, and customers.
Organizational skills: Strong organizational skills are essential for managing schedules, logistics, and budgets.
Problem-solving: The ability to quickly identify and solve problems as they arise.
Knowledge of transportation: A strong understanding of transportation laws, regulations, and logistics is crucial.
