What is the Solutions Consulting & Engineering Team and why join?
Solutions Consulting & Engineering is an organization that is customer-focused and solutions-led. We deliver end-to-end and emerging solutions to drive customer satisfaction and increase profitability and growth. Our world-class management consulting, delivery excellence, and engineering brilliance enable our success. We embody the OneWWT mindset by bringing the right talent at the right time from anywhere within WWT to solve our customer’s problems. Our goal is to bring together business acumen with full-stack technical know-how to develop innovative solutions for our clients’ most complex challenges.
What will you be doing?
The Digital Workspace Advisory (DWA) practice within WWT's Enterprise Solutions & Architecture organization is hiring a Domain Architect to lead Cisco UC and Cloud Collaboration engagements — anchored on Webex Calling (UCaaS) and the broader Cisco UC portfolio, across cloud-native, hybrid, and on-premises environments. The Domain Architect is the customer-facing technical leader on engagements, partners with Project Management as the "Two in the Box" delivery model, and is the single solution voice for the customer.
DWA is a voice and unified-communications migration practice. The scope of the role is the modernization of customer voice environments — moving from legacy on-prem Cisco Unified Communications (UCCM) and Microsoft on-prem telephony into Webex Calling and Microsoft Teams Voice. The role does include Cisco Unified Contact Center Express (UCCX) work where it is part of a voice migration scope; the role does not include full-blown Webex Contact Center, Webex Connect, or other dedicated contact-center / CPaaS-led engagements.
This is a senior, high-visibility seat on a tight-knit team of eight architects and consultants. The Domain Architect will lead complex pre-sales scoping, own end-to-end design and delivery of Cisco UC and Webex Calling migration projects, and act as a working mentor to peer architects and project engineers transitioning from legacy on-prem voice into cloud-native platforms. The role is also a key contributor to WWT's broader Cisco modernization motion, including the operational integration of resources joining from the Softchoice acquisition.
Responsibilities
The Domain Architect will lead customer-facing services projects of varying size and complexity, including the development of statements of work, low- and high-level designs, deployment plans, method-of-procedure documents, and post-deployment knowledge transfer. They will serve as the single solution / technical voice for the customer externally and as the escalation point internally for WWT employees, partners, and contractors, partnering with the PMO counterpart to identify and resolve risks and issues.
In pre-sales the Domain Architect will work with Client Services Executives, Technical Solutions Architects, and Account teams to identify desired business and technical outcomes, scope opportunities, define resource requirements and levels of effort, and produce high-quality statements of work — including for opportunities sourced through Softchoice / Cisco partner channels.
In delivery the Domain Architect will build and maintain low- and high-level design documentation for Cisco UC and Webex Calling migrations, perform advanced engineering when needed, review delivery artifacts produced by the engineering team for technical accuracy and brand-consistent "One Voice" tone, and manage each engagement as if it were its own stand-alone business with attention to profitability and customer outcomes. Where a customer's voice migration scope includes UCCX, the Domain Architect will own that scope component as part of the broader engagement.
The Domain Architect will also contribute to practice development — collaborating with delivery, practice, and business-development peers to generate and maintain methodologies, level-of-effort templates, reference architectures, and go-to-market collateral; monitoring developing Cisco cloud collaboration technologies and defining the services WWT will offer around them; and helping to bridge the gap between Delivery teams and Practice teams.
Mentorship is an explicit expectation of this role. The Domain Architect will guide and develop senior engineers and project engineers through the project lifecycle, including engineers cross-skilling from legacy Cisco UCCM and Microsoft Teams Voice into Webex Calling.

We are thinkers and doers. We combine strategy and execution to help organizations accelerate growth and realize a brighter future. We take complex technology solutions and make them practical and actionable. Then we deliver them globally.
