About Dolly’s Dream and the Alannah & Madeline Foundation:

Dolly’s Dream was created by Kate and Tick Everett following the tragic loss of their 14-year-old daughter, Dolly, to suicide, after ongoing bullying. Kate and Tick’s goal is to prevent other families walking this road.

They want to change the culture of bullying by addressing the impact of bullying, anxiety, depression and youth suicide, through education and direct support to young people and families.

Dolly’s Dream is proudly supported by the Alannah & Madeline Foundation, a national not-for-profit organisation dedicated to keeping children and young people free from violence and trauma wherever they live, learn and play. Through Care, Prevention and Advocacy programs, we fight for their right to be safe, so their future is strong.

About the role:

Reporting to the Dolly’s Dream Program Manager, the School Engagement Coordinator will be responsible for visiting schools in remote, rural, and regional areas throughout New South Wales, with occasional travel into other states as required to deliver Dolly’s Dream Workshops. Travel is a significant component of this role, with an average of two weeks of travel expected each month.

This is a full time, two-year contract role.

To make an impact in this role, you will:

  • Be based in NSW and have an appropriate home office setup suitable for remote work.

  • Work with the full range of New South Wales schools to build awareness of Dolly’s Dream funded activities that assist with the prevention of bullying.

  • Deliver face-to-face and virtual workshops to students, parents, and teaching staff, introducing programs, providing support, and promoting behaviour change around bullying. Includes travel to schools primarily in NSW. (Training provided)

  • Regularly communicate with New South Wales schools via promotion campaigns, telephone, online, and face-to-face meetings to promote Dolly’s Dream resources to assist with the prevention of bullying.

  • Be responsible for communication planning and providing appropriate communication materials for New South Wales schools, while managing the bookings and scheduling for all Dolly’s Dream programs.

The perfect you:

  • Experience in education or a school setting (essential)

  • A qualification in education (desirable)

  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in executing projects or initiatives either in the non-profit, corporate, consulting, or public sectors (essential).

  • Previous experience in delivering social change projects; frameworks or initiatives in the education sector to a high level (essential).

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills to conduct training, presentations, and facilitate workshops with schools (essential).
