Job Description

Have you completed at least 50 shifts in the past six months where you spent at least 4 continuous hours actively supervising or assisting with supervising an off-leash dog playgroup with 8 or more dogs?

If so, we'd love to hear from you.

Four-Legged Fun Zone is looking for Dog Daycare Handler Assistants who have already built a strong foundation in off-leash dog daycare and are ready for the next step. If you understand canine body language, group dynamics, and safe playgroup management, we'll teach you how to safely supervise and lead your own off-leash playgroup of 10–15 dogs.

Why Experienced Assistant Handlers Choose Four-Legged Fun Zone

  1. Active Group Leadership: You're working with 10–15 dogs—not 30+—so you can actively lead the group instead of just surviving the shift.
  2. Locked-In Schedule & Paycheck: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. Reliable hours. No guessing and no last-minute schedule changes.
  3. Zero On-Call Stress: You're not being called in on your days off or dealing with work texts after hours. When you're off, you're off.
  4. Stable Groups: Dogs attend on consistent schedules and complete a structured introduction process before joining regular playgroups.
  5. A Real Place to Breathe: You have a dedicated space to step away from the noise and reset during your break.

Compensation

Base Pay: $20/hour

Daily Group Bonus:

  • $2.50/dog/day (12–13 dogs)
  • $5.00/dog/day (14–15 dogs)
  • Typical Earnings: $23–$29/hour

Required Experience (Must Meet ALL Requirements to Be Considered)

  1. Completed at least 50 shifts in the past six months where you spent at least 4 continuous hours actively supervising or assisting with supervising an off-leash dog playgroup with 8 or more dogs
  2. Held at least one paid animal-care position for 12 consecutive months or longer within the past 3 years
  3. Live within 30 minutes of the facility and consistently arrive on time
  4. Able to stand and walk for the entire shift and confidently manage dogs up to 150 lbs

How to Apply

Complete the application and answer all screening questions carefully.

This position is designed for someone looking for a stable, long-term role—not a temporary or transitional position.

About Tailored Pet Services

At TAILored Pet Services LLC, we personally understand that pets are important family members. They hold a special a place in our hearts and in some cases become our children. We also realize that finding the right individual to take care of their emotional and physical needs is an important decision.

We promise your pets will always receive one-on-one attention, be watched by a consistent person and loved like our own dogs. You can leave your pets in the comfort of their own home knowing they will receive the same love and attention you provide.

Dog Care Services:

• Dog Walking: Sometimes it just isn't possible to walk our furry friends. My team/I will exercise your dog(s) so you find a cheerful and calm friend when you return. Whether your dog needs a leisurely stroll, brisk walk, or fast jog, these customized visits will happen regardless of the Pacific Northwest weather.

• In-home boarding: In-home boarding is very different from a traditional kennel because only 1-2 dogs from the same household stay with us at one time to ensure a personalized experience. We encourage our furry guests to relax/nap on the couches and utilize the floor for playtime. On warm days, we spend time in the fenced back yard so they can enjoy the outdoors. At bedtime, your dogs can to snuggle on the master bed or sleep in a dog bed on the floor like they would at home.

• Overnight Pet Sitting: We have a slumber party in your home with your pets as the guest of honor so they will remain in their own environment and maintain their normal routine. Our overnight services include dinner/evening potty break, staying overnight (including sleeping with your pet if that is part of the routine), breakfast/morning potty visit and other home-care tasks.

Clients love and recommend TPS. If you’d like to be put directly in touch with some of them, contact us and we’d be happy to connect you!
