Shift
Maintenance Technician, you’ll get to:


  • Support
    the Company’s mission, vision, values, and goals in performance of daily
    activities.

  • Dismantles
    defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.

  • Installs
    and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and
    electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.

  • Repairs
    automated machinery and equipment such as Fanuc robots.

  • Troubleshoot
    mechanical, electrical, robotic, and welding problems

  • Basic
    understanding of PLC programming principles and techniques with
    consideration for operator and equipment safety.

  • Performs
    both routine and repair maintenance on industrial pumps.

  • Performs
    both routine and repair maintenance on scrap conveyors.

  • Discusses
    machine operation variations with supervisors, operators, or other
    maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.

  • Visually
    inspects and tests machinery and equipment

  • Operates
    cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts

  • Cleans
    and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.

  • Must
    use electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics for troubleshooting.


This DoD SkillBridge Internship is a part of our Maintenance Team
and reports to the Maintenance Supervisor


The following military experience could be an excellent fit for this internship

:

  • Aerospace Propulsion (2A6X1) - mechanical systems troubleshooting; disassembly/reassembly, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical systems.

  • Aircraft Maintenance (2A5X1) - uses hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics; troubleshoots complex aircraft systems.

  • Tactical Aircraft Masintenance (2A3X3) - electrical troubleshooting, wiring, sensors, and control systems.

  • Aircraft Metals Technology (2A7X2) - fabrication, welding, machining, structural repair, aluminum/steel alloy, stamping, machine repair, structural equipment maintenance.

  • Aerospace Ground Equipment (2A6X2) - diesel, gas, electric, hydraulic ground equipment, heavy mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.

  • Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic (91B) - Engines, hydraulics, electrical troubleshooting, diagnosing mechanical failures, maintenance.

  • Construction Equipment Repairer (91L) - hydraulic systems, heavy equipment, industrial-grade engines and power systems.

  • Allied Trades Specialist (machinist/welder) (91E) - fabrication and repair, welding, machining, fabrication, metalworking, steel, iron, aluminum.

  • Machinist's Mate (MM) - maintains pumps, engines, hydraulics, mechanical systems.

  • Electrician's Mate (EM) - industrial electrical systems, motor controls, wiring, distribution systems.

  • Electronics Technician (ET) - troubleshooting electronic systems, sensors, control boards, signal flow.

  • Hull Maintenance Technician (HT) - welding, cutting torch work, structural repair.


REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES (As a DoD SkillBridge Intern, it is understood that you may not have all of the required skills and abilities)


  • Working
    on large metal stamping presses (200-3000 ton)

  • Working
    with robotic welding machines (Fanuc ped welders and spot welders)

  • Experience
    in fabrication

  • Experience
    in a manufacturing environment working with steel, iron, aluminum, and other
    various metals

  • Journeyman
    Card (not required but preferred)

  • Ability
    to convey technical details to a non-technical audience.

  • Ability
    to work well with others in a team environment.

Estimated compensation if hired

: $63K - $72K annual.
