Who we are looking for

Document Technical Specialist I is the first level in the series of roles responsible for the document review and data input into the applicable Program Lifecycle Management system for engineering projects. This is an entry-level position with no direct reports that reports directly to the Lead Engineer Technical Services. Maintains good working relationships with engineers, supply chain, suppliers, quality, production staff, and outside contractors.

What you will do

• Performs data input of document information, under general supervision.
• Secure documents for archiving and per EN9100 quality system.
• Coordinate final sign-off of documents with the requisite engineering lead.
• Review engineering for accuracy to applicable engineering quality management processes.
• Review supplier data for accuracy.
• Provide support to fellow employees in retrieval of documents for their work.
• Assume responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication, coordination, and working relationships with area staff and management.
• Assume responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge of aircraft design concepts, industry design standards, and FAA regulations.
• Experience in data entry.
• Experience in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication skills.

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand Standard English, including technical, engineering related vocabulary, for technical and general work correspondence and work products.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates in indoor and, occasionally, outdoor settings. The indoor settings include office and warehouse/airplane hangar environments which require the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, fax machines and safety gear. The outdoor settings include airplane runways and parking lots. The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud. Occasionally subject to varying inside and/or outside temperatures, which may include extreme heat (temperatures above 100 degrees) or extreme cold (temperatures below 32 degrees).

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions.
