Support the Health Information Management HIM Department in providing and maintaining an accurate and complete health information record by processing images in the document management system.
Shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday 1p-11p
Responsibilities:
Obtain medical records from the unit and assemble, scan and index batches into the proper system.
Ensure all health records are in compliance with law by ensuring complete medical records are obtained.
Assist in the release of patient health information and maintain compliance according to policy.
Ensure late charge sheets are returned as necessary to assist in correct entry of charging.
Perform routine chart processing activities, including searching, pulling and filing of medical records.
Perform release of information for emergent patient care physician, hospital requests and respond to various requests via phone, fax, correspondence.
Import in Solarity scan application.
