Responsible for converting paper records to electronic images utilizing health information system modules.Responsible for maintaining equipment and supplies necessary for electronic medical record processes.Assists in release of information processes, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Education & Credentials:
Required
High School diploma or equivalent.
Preferred
Associate degree in Health Information Technology.
Work Experience:
Required
One year of healthcare experience.Given training and on-the-job experience, incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date.
Preferred
One or more years of experience in a Health Information Management (HIM) Department.
