The Document Controller manages the flow of internal and external information into and out of the project. This includes (but is not limited to) drawings, RFI’s specifications, transmittal notes etc.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

• To ensure that company procedures are followed regarding the flow of information, and contribute to QA procedure review, and its upgrade and implementation.
• To ensure the accuracy of documents received from contractors, consultants and suppliers to the Project and return to originator if not compliant with EHL procedures.
• To ensure document movements are recorded in accordance with the EHL and client processes and procedures.
• To assist in regular audits of the Document Control system to ensure full Project compliance.
• Maintain configuration control of all documentation ensuring the correct revision is in place at all times.
• To co-ordinate the role across the Project team to ensure a seamless flow of information to meet team requirements, Project targets & programme.
• General Administration to include but not limited to:-
• Filing general / controlled documentation
• Controlling document master file and updating register accordingly
• Answering land line and distribution of calls
• Typing and logging letters and contract correspondence
• Typing meeting minutes
• Any other general duties requested by the project manager/site manager.

Show your expertise

• A good level of experience of operating QA systems under self-direction, preferably as a document controller
• Administration Experience
• Ability to work to deadlines, under pressure and on own initiative showing good organisational skills.
• SC Security Clearance or ability to obtain.

Highly Desirable (but not essential)

• Knowledge of On-line document control systems.
• Able to direct others under their control.
• Working knowledge of basic M&E Systems
