Abouttheposition
The Document Controller is a member of Chevron’s ENGINE Facilities Designs Engineering team providing document control services and solutions for engineering and business control documentation across within the ENGINE Center

ChevronENGINEhas an exciting opportunity foraDocument Controller Engineerto join the Reporting to theInformation Management Team Lead this role will be based inChevron’sofficein Bengaluru.

Chevron ENGINE supports global operations, and work hours are aligned to business needs. Standard working hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday to Friday. These may evolve based on operational or business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide document Control support by ensuring overarching document control governance and standards are adhered and followed in accordancetoservice level agreements

  • Ensure all controlled documents are:

  • Formatted, numbered, revision controlled and managedin accordance withthe relevant standards and conventions

  • Received, processed,distributedand trackedin accordance withDocument Control procedures, approved distributionmatricesand agreed timescales

  • Develop,generateand distribute business reports asrequired

  • Monitor compliance and quality assurance activities to ensure integrity and completeness of controlled documentation generated by Technical Engineering team within the DMS master repository

  • Work directly with stakeholders to support day to day Document Control requirements and long-termobjectivesrelating to Operation

  • Maintain controlled hardcopy collection (department satellite locations) whererequired

  • Information Management and Functional Support Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to influence without authority, liaise effectively with a diverse team, customer groups, project teams, and management to coordinate document management activities while meeting performance targets

  • Ability to communicate concurrent engineering concepts in terms that caters to the specific audience.

  • Experience in the oil and gas document control industry

  • •Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail

About you

To be considered for this role, applicants should have:

  • +5 Years of document control experience.

  • Strong background in Document Management with hands-on experience of document control processes, techniques, and technologies (include Document Management Systems and collaboration tools).

  • Exposure to Oil and Gas industry is highly desirable, specifically of the Information/Document Management requirements and challenges relating to Management System / Business Control documentation collections e.g. standards, procedures, work instructions, processes, forms & templatesetc
