Job Description

With a strong foundation in minerals processing, Sedgman continues to expand into new commodities, markets, and regions, delivering practical and innovative engineering solutions.

We’re looking for an experienced Document Controller to join our Brisbane team in a full-time, hybrid role with flexibility and clear progression into senior responsibilities.

Play a key role in keeping projects moving by ensuring documentation is accurate, controlled, and delivered to a high standard.

Be part of a globally connected function, supporting Brisbane-based projects while working alongside teams across Australia and internationally.

The environment is relaxed, multicultural, and highly supportive, with a strong focus on teamwork and shared success.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Provide end-to-end document control support across a range of Brisbane-based projects within a shared services team.
  • Support project leads by managing document workflows, revision control, and quality checks to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Step into an unofficial lead capacity over time, taking ownership of projects and guiding others as your confidence grows.
  • Work closely with engineers and stakeholders to ensure timely distribution and tracking of project documentation.
  • Contribute to a team-first environment by proactively assisting others during busy project periods.

What we’re looking for:

  • You’ll bring solid document control experience with a strong understanding of core principles such as revision control and document workflows.
  • You’re confident but still developing, with the ability to step up over time into a lead role.
  • Experience with Aconex is highly regarded, with exposure to TeamBinder a bonus.
  • You’ll be someone who works well in a team, communicates clearly, and is comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Why this role?

  • This is a role where you can build real capability quickly while being supported by an experienced and approachable team.
  • You’ll start by learning the ropes across multiple projects, then grow into a position where you can lead and influence outcomes.
  • The culture is easy-going and inclusive, with a diverse team that genuinely supports one another and steps in when it counts.
  • If you’re looking for a role with solid development opportunities, flexible working, and a team that’s easy to get along with, you’ll find it here.
