Job Description

Job Title: Document Controller
Location: Hong Kong
Industry: Construction (Consultancy Firms and Contractors)
Salary: HKD 25,000 - HKD 35,000 per month (depending on experience)

Our client, a leading player in the construction sector, is seeking an experienced Document Controller to join their team in Hong Kong. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in document management within the construction industry, particularly in consultancy firms or contractor environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize, manage, and maintain project documentation, including drawings, specifications, contracts, and correspondence.
  • Ensure all documents are accurately indexed, filed, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
  • Implement and maintain document control procedures in accordance with company policies and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with project team members to facilitate smooth communication and information flow.
  • Conduct regular audits of document control processes to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation as required by project leads and management.
  • Support training and onboarding of new team members in document management practices.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a valid Hong Kong Identity Card (HKID).
  • A Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, or a related field is a bonus.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in document control within the construction sector.
  • Proficient in document control software systems, particularly Procore, Aconex, and other platforms utilized in the industry.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin preferred).
  • Ability to work effectively in either office or site environments, adapting to varying work conditions.
  • Knowledge of construction processes and documentation requirements is a plus.
