We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Document Controller to join our team in the construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, organizing, and maintaining all project documentation in accordance with company standards and industry regulations. This role ensures accurate and timely flow of documentation, supports project teams, and helps maintain compliance throughout the construction lifecycle.

  • Control, distribute, and archive incoming and outgoing project documentation (e.g., drawings, RFIs, submittals, contracts, specifications).
  • Maintain document logs and ensure documents are up to date and accessible to relevant team members.
  • Implement and follow document control procedures and workflows in compliance with ISO standards and project requirements.
  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure timely submission and receipt of required documentation.
  • Ensure documents are correctly named, numbered, and filed in accordance with the project's document control system.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of all documentation.
  • Prepare reports on document status and track outstanding documentation issues.
  • Support project teams during audits and ensure readiness of documentation for quality control and compliance checks.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in business administration, construction management, or a related field (preferred).
  • 2–5 years of experience in a document control or administrative role within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of document control practices, systems, and standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • Proficiency in document control software and systems
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
