Job Location: Green Bay, WI 54302South Bay Marina located in Green Bay, WI is an owned and operated division of McDonald Companies. We provide world-class customer service to our customers through our grounds and community. Our services include but are not limited to supporting our customers utilizing our 240+ slip marina, managing a year-round marine equipment service center, and operating a retail space that provides a wide variety of both recreational and marine related gear to the public.
We are looking to add a highly customer focused dockhand to our team for the summer season (13 weeks, May – September). Starting pay will be $16 and will vary based on experience and skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Always provide excellent customer service in a professional and approachable manner.
- Responsible for all cleaning and janitorial needs of facilities located around the Marina grounds.
- Assist slip-holders with securing boats to the dock, connecting and monitoring utility devices.
- General grounds-keeping (power washing, weed pulling, garbage can hauling etc.)
- Manage the slip-holder’s lounge. Ensuring all amenities upkeep is handled and held to a high standard.
- Follow established rental boat procedures to stay in compliance with all legal and safety standards.
- Manage and control fueling vessels at the fuel dock on site.
- Gain knowledge of proper marine-data software and utilize as needed for all cash or credit transactions.
- Maintain a safety-first mindset throughout all duties.
- Assist in answering phones or customer questions as needed.
- Provide assistance to any customers as requested.
- Coordinate daily tasks with internal individuals as required.

Qualifications
- Must be 16 years or older or have the ability to provide a working permit (required).
- Obtain a valid driver’s license (required).
- Have open availability during nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to perform trained job duties without excessive supervision.
- Perform all job duties that require extended period of time standing, be able to bend, stoop, pull, push, and lifting up to 50lbs.
