Since 2008, DNV has hosted the DNV Summer Project, bringing together talented master students from different academic backgrounds to explore complex challenges with real-world relevance.
For our 2027 Summer Project, we will once again welcome eight master's students entering the final year of their studies to explore how technological change is transforming organisations, careers, and workplaces, and what it means for companies like DNV.
Scope: How will the interaction between AI-native talent and established organisations shape the future of work?
Today's students can complete much of their education with AI as a constant companion, helping them learn, analyse, write, code and solve problems. As this generation enters the workforce, organisations face fundamental questions:
To answer these questions, you will combine research, interviews and analysis, engaging with experts across DNV as well as external organisations, start-ups, universities and industry leaders.
In DNV, we believe these questions will shape the future of work over the coming decade.
The objective of the project is not to understand AI itself, but to understand how AI is changing organisations, people and work.
During your time at DNV you will develop insights and recommendations that can help DNV prepare for the future workforce and the changing demands of an increasingly AI-driven world.
The results will be presented to the whole company, including senior leaders and contribute to discussions about DNV's future workforce, organisation and ways of working.

The DNV Summer Project is more than a summer job. It is a unique opportunity to work alongside leading experts, take ownership from day one, and contribute to solving a real and highly relevant challenge with direct relevance for DNV's future.
DNV is an Equal Opportunity Employer and gives consideration for employment to qualified applicants without regard to gender, religion, race, national or ethnic origin, cultural background, social group, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, age or political opinion. Diversity is fundamental to our culture and we invite you to be part of this diversity.
We believe the strongest team combines different perspectives, experiences and ways of thinking. We are looking for students who are currently in the fourth year of a master's programme and will enter their final year in autumn 2027. You do not need to be an AI expert to apply. What matters most is your curiosity about how technology is changing organisations, people and work.
DNV values diverse perspectives and welcomes applications from students with other academic backgrounds who have a clear interest in the topics explored in this project.
To be considered for this role, please register your CV, application letter, and grade transcripts in our application tracking system (Oracle) electronically. All documents should be in English, if possible. If you choose to apply for more than one role in DNV, please state your preference in the application letter.
Due to the high volume of applications expected, only complete applications that demonstrate the required qualifications and follow the application instructions will be considered.
Application deadline: 16th of October 2026 at 23.55 CET. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and we encourage interested candidates to apply as early as possible.
