The Administrative Associate II position is located within the Renewal, Titles, and Plate unit of the Vehicle Services Section within NC DMV. The Renewal, Titles, and Plate unit provides customer service assisting North Carolinians with registering and obtaining titles for their vehicles.
The selected candidate will be responsible for examining, inspecting property tax, and processing the renewal of registration notices along with other registration applications. This position will also manage the corresponding payments to ensure appropriate information and fees are collected. The Administrative Associate II will correspond with customers and provide instructions regarding any incorrect information or monies owed. Additional duties that this position is responsible for will be maintaining accurate customer information in the STARS database as well as daily data entry in the Remittance Processor.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences

Management prefers applicants with the following:

NC02 $31,200 - $51,249

  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience in reviewing detailed documents and records for accuracy and authenticity.
  • Experience explaining processes and procedures in accordance with General Statues or office policies and procedures.
  • Experience in customer service, resolving customers issues, and communicating effectively both in oral and written form.
  • Experience in using a 10-key calculator to compare and balance transactions.

Minimum Education and Experience

High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and one year of administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
