Responsibility:
- Product Strategy and Roadmap
- Define the service catalogue, roadmap and lifecycle standards for cloud, servers, virtualization, storage, backup and disaster recovery.
- Gather needs from regional IT, factories, cybersecurity, enterprise architecture, applications and business program leaders; make explicit tradeoffs among value, risk, cost and capacity.
- Own and priorities the backlog, acceptance criteria, dependencies and releases; track adoption and measurable outcomes.
- Drive service adoption and internal-customer experience by tracking stakeholder satisfaction, ease of consumption and use of standard service pathways.
- Cloud and Compute Delivery
- Own the compute solution direction across AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud and on-premises environments.

- Maintain ongoing demand and capacity forecasts to identify constraints, investment needs and optimisation opportunities early enough to support business planning.
- Partner with architects and engineers to assess solution options and tradeoffs in performance, availability, security, scalability, supportability and total cost; guide migration, modernization, infrastructure as code and automation.
- The Product Owner owns outcomes, the roadmap, service standards and investment priorities, while architecture and engineering teams own detailed design, implementation quality and technical assurance.
- Coordinate infrastructure readiness for enterprise program and factory operations; establish critical paths, remove blockers promptly and manage delivery risks, cutovers and support handovers.
- Service Ownership and Risk
- Set service levels and operational controls; review incidents, problems, changes, backup results and disaster recovery tests with accountable service teams.
- Work with cybersecurity and risk teams to address vulnerabilities, end of life technology, audit findings and policy compliance.
- Maintain a transparent register of material technical debt and exceptions, with a named owner, risk treatment, funding position and target resolution date or decision for each item.
- Ensure clear ownership, escalation routes and follow the sun handoffs for critical services.
- Commercial and People Leadership
- Own cloud and compute cost transparency, budgets, forecasts and optimization. Understand consumption-based billing, cost allocation, tagging, invoice and usage reconciliation, unit economics, commitments and licensing; validate savings against a baseline while protecting service outcomes.
- Lead, coach and develop assigned engineers and service leads; align internal teams and managed service providers to roadmap and operational priorities.
- Manage technology and managed service vendors through requirements, solution review, commercial evaluation, contracts, service performance and escalation.
- Maintain supplier transition and exit plans for critical services, covering knowledge transfer, data retention, concentration risk and continuity arrangements.
- Communicate decisions, risks and urgent actions clearly with senior leaders and global stakeholders across time zones.
Core competencies
- Product and Leadership

- Able to lead engineers and influence architecture, security, application and regional teams without relying solely on reporting lines.
- Cloud and Operations
- Strong ability to evaluate compute solutions across AWS, Azure and on-premises platforms, including server operating systems, virtualisation, storage, backup, disaster recovery, observability, capacity and technical lifecycle.
- Practical understanding of hybrid infrastructure, IT service management, incident and change processes, resilience and disaster recovery.

- Critical backup and disaster recovery coverage, test completion and remediation meet approved recovery objectives.
- Security and Governance
- Critical vulnerabilities, end-of-life exposure and audit actions are reduced within approved risk-based deadlines.
- Services have current owners, architecture records, operating procedures and support handoffs.
- Cost and Vendor Performance
- Cloud and compute spend remains within approved forecast; billing variances are explained, and optimization savings are evidenced against an agreed baseline without degrading required service levels.
- Supplier performance, service levels, cost and improvement actions are reviewed regularly; escalations and renewals are handled in time to avoid disruption.
- Global Collaboration and Team Capability
- Regional and cross-time-zone dependencies are resolved within agreed lead times; stakeholders receive timely, culturally aware communication and equitable participation in decisions.
- Assigned team members have documented goals, development plans and coverage for critical responsibilities.
