The Warehouse Manager serves as a key member of the Department of Liquor and Lottery's management team, providing operational oversight and strategic direction for the warehouse. Reporting to the Senior Director of Agency Operations, this position manages end-to-end warehouse operations, including inventory control, inbound and outbound logistics, dock scheduling, carrier coordination, safety and security, budgeting and cost controls, and the Department's redemption and recycling program. The role also oversees the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and associated scanning hardware to ensure accurate, efficient, and compliant distribution. The incumbent supervises a team of warehouse staff and ensures seamless coordination of warehouse activities with retail operations. Working closely with Division leadership, district coordinators, program managers, and common and contract carriers, this position aligns priorities, maintains service levels, and supports timely and accurate fulfillment across the organization.
In addition to directing day-to-day operations, the Warehouse Manager leads continuous improvement efforts by establishing performance measures, advancing process optimization in receiving, picking, storing, and issuing, and driving change management that enhances efficiency and service delivery. The role maintains and upgrades the WMS, conducts regression testing on system updates to safeguard process integrity. It also ensures proper equipment maintenance, housekeeping standards, and reliable scheduling of loading and unloading to minimize delays and errors.
The Warehouse Manager champions a safe, secure, and engaged workplace by training new employees on job standards and SOPs, enforcing safety protocols, inspecting work in progress and on completion, and maintaining robust facility and inventory security procedures. Through effective resource stewardship and collaboration, the position strengthens operational infrastructure, supports sustainable practices via the redemption and recycling program, and ensures the warehouse network is equipped to meet current and future business needs.

Duties are performed in a temperature-controlled warehouse. Incumbent must be able to lift cases of liquor and operate a forklift, cherry picker and other warehouse type equipment. Good physical condition is necessary.
High school or GED AND four (4) years experience in inventory control and warehouse operations including two years of supervisory experience.
A valid motor vehicle operators license is required and must be able to obtain a Commercial Driver's license.
