You as a Divisional Controller, Oxford will:

  • Financial Leadership & Reporting
  • Lead the accounting departments (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Sales Tax, and Accounting).
  • Prepare Oxford Builders’ financial statements and consolidated reporting for Head Office.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP (ASPE), corporate policies, and external audit requirements.
  • Oversee month end and year end close processes.
  • Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis
  • Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Provide variance analysis, financial insights, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support decision making, capital investments, and growth opportunities.
  • Internal Controls & Compliance
  • Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls, policies, and accounting procedures
  • Manage and oversee external audits and government reporting requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to sales tax legislation, and reporting other reporting requirements.
  • Systems, Processes & Expansion
  • Implement accounting system changes and improve existing processes.
  • Partner with operations leadership to integrate technology and reporting tools across departments.
  • Capital & Asset Management
  • Manage capital expenditures, fixed assets, and inventory controls.
  • Monitor cash flow and financial risk management.
  • Strategic Leadership & Partnership
  • Provide financial and strategic input on business planning, operations, and growth initiatives.
  • People Leadership
  • Manage, train, mentor, and develop a growing accounting team.
  • Foster a high performance, collaborative team culture.

Is this the right role for you?

  • You have a minimum of 5 years of progressive and relevant experience.
  • You hold a CPA designation.
  • You have a strong accounting background, with in-depth experience in ASPE and/or IFRS
  • Public accounting experience is an asset.
  • You possess strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.
  • You are a well-organized, proactive and detail oriented individual able to self-manage and work as part of a team in a dynamic fast paced environment.
  • You are a highly technical accountant that has strong attention to detail and can offer process improvements and innovative solutions.
  • The salary range for this role is $110,000 - $150,000.
