Job Description

The Divisional Compliance & Quality Officer is responsible for implementation and oversight of the company-wide Compliance & Quality program at designated Sequel programs nationwide. The Compliance & Quality Officer is a member of the corporate Compliance & Quality Team.

Duties Include but are not limited to:
• Oversee the implementation of the company-wide Compliance & Quality program at designated Sequel programs nationwide.
• Supervise program level Compliance & Quality staff to guide implementation of the company-wide Compliance & Quality program at their respective programs.
• Provide weekly supervision to program level Compliance & Quality staff to coach and manage them in carrying out this role.
• Collect, aggregate, and analyze program level compliance/quality related data and report risks, patterns, and trends to corporate leadership and program leadership.
• Review daily, weekly, and monthly restraint and incident data to identify risks, patterns and trends.
• Review and respond to Tier reports daily. Coordinate Critical Incident Reviews pertaining to these reports as deemed necessary or requested by Corporate and program level management, and review reports of significantly adverse incidents prior to release to external agencies.
• Work with Operations Division leadership, Executive Directors, and program level Compliance & Quality staff to develop action plans in response to identified risks, patterns and trends.
• Conduct monthly clinical record audits and report findings to corporate leadership and program level leadership.
• Collect and chart data for quarterly Metrics Calls.
• Conduct weekly program level camera reviews and report findings to corporate leadership and program leadership.
• Assist with investigations stemming from the Corporate Compliance Hotline and other types of complaints when needed by the Director of Corporate Compliance.
• Conduct monthly HIPAA compliance calls and trainings for program level staff.
• Track the occurrence and status of external reviews and investigations taking place at the program level (e.g. state licensing, Disability Rights requests, Joint Commission accreditation, and contract requirements).
• Other duties as assigned by the Chief Compliance & Quality Officer and/or the Senior Director for Compliance & Quality Management.
Education and Experience:
▪ A Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare or human services related field, and 3 years’ prior experience in a compliance and quality related role.
▪ A Master's degree in healthcare or human services related field, and 2 years' prior experience in a compliance and quality related role.
