Alfa Laval India

Alfa Laval has been present in India since 1937 and plays a strategically important role within the group. The India headquarters is located in Pune, with eight manufacturing facilities based at Pune and Satara, and multiple sales and service locations across the country. The Manufacturing facilities supplies key components and systems in Separation, Heat Transfer, and Flow technology. It is also a hub for Centrifugal Separators, Decanters, and Flow equipment delivered to the global markets from here.

The company's products and solutions are omnipresent in over 25 multiple Indian industries including food processing, dairy, edible oil processing, sugar production, pharmaceutical & biotechnology, brewery, distillery, starch, pulp and paper, oil & gas, marine and energy. Alfa Laval caters to many national and international clients based across India and neighboring countries like Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Bangladesh.

We are now looking for a for an Inspirational leader to spearhead our Service division in India, partnering closely with the business leaders and managers. Service Division is a strategic pillar of Alfa Laval India, to achieve our growth ambition for the coming years.

You will be a member of AL India Management team, directly reporting to Managing Director, as well as the key representative for India region. Moreover, you will be responsible for leading, developing and securing a high performing team in line with the Alfa Laval culture.

To help Alfa Laval uphold its promises and foster a thriving service culture, we are seeking a dynamic leader for the role of Divisional Manager for Service to join our skilled, dedicated, and passionate team.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record in service business management and experience leading high-performing service teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Success in this role will be driven by the ability to achieve profitable growth, enhance operational excellence, and develop a motivated and capable team.

Key elements of the Role involve

Strategic Leadership & Business Transformation

• Define and execute the long-term Service business strategy aligned with regional and global organizational objectives.
• Drive business transformation initiatives to strengthen market position, accelerate growth, and enhance operational excellence.
• Champion a high-performance culture that fosters accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Lead organizational change and capability-building initiatives to adapt to evolving market dynamics and customer expectations.
• Build a strong leadership pipeline through coaching, succession planning, and talent development.

Commercial Growth & Profitability

• Own the overall P&L for the Service business, ensuring sustainable revenue growth, profitability, and market share expansion.
• Identify and capture new commercial opportunities across the service portfolio, aftermarket offerings, digital services, and lifecycle solutions.
• Drive strategic pricing, contract management, and value-based service offerings to maximize customer value and business returns.
• Establish financial discipline and resource optimization strategies to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
• Monitor and steer business performance through key financial, commercial, and operational metrics.

Customer Centricity & Market Leadership

• Strengthen executive-level relationships with key customers, industry stakeholders, and strategic partners.
• Drive customer engagement strategies that enhance satisfaction, loyalty, and long-term business partnerships.
• Ensure service capabilities and offerings are aligned with customer needs, industry requirements, and future market trends.
• Lead initiatives to increase installed base penetration, service contract growth, and aftermarket sales.
• Act as the voice of the customer within the organization, influencing strategic priorities and investments.

Service Excellence & Operational Effectiveness

• Ensure the delivery of best-in-class service operations through standardized processes, digitalization, and performance management.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality, responsiveness, reliability, and customer experience.
• Optimize resource allocation, workforce planning, and operational capabilities to support business growth and customer demands.
• Foster collaboration across sales, operations, engineering, and support functions to deliver integrated customer solutions.

Market Intelligence & Innovation

• Monitor industry trends, competitive developments, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to identify growth opportunities and business risks.
• Shape the future service portfolio by driving innovation, digital transformation, and sustainable service solutions.
• Develop market expansion strategies to strengthen the organization's competitive advantage and market leadership.
• Leverage data analytics and business insights to support strategic decision-making and investment priorities.
• Stakeholder & Governance Management
• Serve as a key member of the leadership team, contributing to regional and global business strategies.
• Build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to drive organizational objectives and customer success.
• Ensure compliance with corporate governance, safety, quality, and sustainability standards.
• Represent the organization at key industry forums, customer engagements, and strategic business discussions.

Strategic Skills & Leadership Profile

• 18-22 years of senior leadership experience with deep strategic and techno-commercial expertise.
• Proven track record in leading regional businesses, crafting growth strategies, and delivering transformational results.
• Strong capability in shaping business direction, influencing senior stakeholders, and driving organizational change.
• Exceptional strategic communication, stakeholder influence, and executive presence.
• Visionary yet hands-on leadership style, capable of inspiring teams toward ambitious growth.
• Educational background: BE/B. Tech (Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation) from a top institute; MBA preferred for strong business acumen.

• This role reports to the Managing Director, Alfa Laval India
