Mayo Clinic is searching for an innovative leader to help create a world class Division of Infectious Diseases at its Destination Medical Center (DMC) in Jacksonville, Florida.
The Division Chair of Infectious Diseases will be expected to utilize Mayo resources to advance patient care, grow the Division’s research footprint and help guide in educating and developing future infectious disease physicians. We are seeking a leader that can expand, grow and innovate the Division of Infectious Diseases in Florida and be a trusted resource as a Destination Medical Center partner. The selected candidate will be responsible for achieving exceptional patient outcomes, financial and growth objectives in addition to actively recruiting and retaining top talent to advance Mayo’s mission.

Ideal Candidate Profile
Board certification in Infectious Diseases and eligibility for full Florida licensure required
Academic rank of Professor preferred; rank of at least Associate Professor is required
Evidence of continued academic and scholarly activity
Proven successful leader
Strong understanding of collaboration between critical care medicine, transplant medicine, and interventional pulmonology
On-going transformational practice innovation
Adept at mentoring junior staff
Ability to build relationships and network globally
Recognized as an expert in their field
