Raymond West is looking for a dynamic District Service Manager to join the Service team! The District Service Manager is responsible for managing and providing leadership to an assigned department or service center or manages the functions of a major section or unit of a department.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise staff in an assigned area to include planning and assigning projects/tasks to staff, making hiring, separation, and disciplinary recommendations, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Ensure staff development and coordinate training programs for new staff and identify training needs for current staff.
- Provide leadership for assigned staff.
- Manage employee’s timecard utilizing the company’s Time and Attendance system.
- Manage the operational activities within the IT Department.
- Develop, organize, implement, and oversee programs, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure achievement of IT Department goals
- Render decisions with respect to key department issues impacting overall service and performance.
- Provide input to senior leadership for annual budgets.
- Direct and prepare reports for IT Department’s Senior leadership.
- Participate in Company or Department projects.
- Ensure employees and team are following all Company Policies
- Works closely with other departments and communicate with all levels of employees, customers, and Manufacturers both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrates drive and initiative.
- Maintains a professional attitude in all matters.
- Correspond with Vendors and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
- Must be able to manage time efficiently.
- Manage and direct service operations to grow the service business in volume and profitability in accordance with established business goals and objectives.
- Develop positive, long-term relationships with customer base and seek to capitalize on repeat business, and customer retention.
- Manage operating costs and constantly seek ways to improve operating methods, safe operations, procedures, and results.
- Maintain control of the WIP/ADP Timecards/Paperless work orders (NFW), and consistently oversee internal and external revenues.
- Monitor and document response time and first-time completion, and quality of work of each team member including safety planning and enforcement.
- Assist the Customer Care Managers and Technicians with accurate quoting.
- Work with Parts Department for continual improvement.
- Spend most of the working day in the field directly training, educating, and scheduling Team Leaders, Field Technicians and Apprentice Technicians to ensure proficiency of field service.
- Maintain compliance with manufacturers and Cal OSHA requirements.
- Assist CFPM account control and monitor renewal approval as well as continually plan and schedule Scheduled Maintenance to ensure timely completion through the Fleet Analytics group.
- Direct customer interface, care, and resolution of Service issues
- Capable of making sound decisions
- Develop sound procedures for consistency throughout department, and continually carry the Service Vision to the team.
- Prepare annual and monthly financials and budgets for executive management approval.
- Establish operational procedures for Service Department for management approval.
- Attend job fairs at local trade schools and colleges.
- Interview apprentice and experienced technician candidates.

- Must be willing to work off-hours as specific needs dictate and willing to assume more responsibility as required.
- Keep abreast of the latest technology, especially as it may relate to a more effective service operation.
- Able to plan, organize, lead, and control the assigned service department activities.
Must be willing to work out of town as needs dictate.
- Must have the ability to communicate and interface effectively with employees, customers, vendors, and management team.
- Ability to be persuasive and provide leadership to subordinates.

- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to work with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point and Enterprise Resource Planning System.
- Possess current, valid unrestricted Class C driver license with no more than allowable number of points as determined by insurance company.
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma
- Highly preferred: 5 years related industry experience to include supervisory duties, training, or customer service; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Travel Requirement:
- 50% (20 hours a week) local Travel- Required to visit customers and Field Technicians
- Must be able to be insured by Raymond West.
Physical Requirements:
- Position is Sedentary and desk bound.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Pay Range:
- The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $150,000. The specific pay offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location.
Qualified candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
