District RegistrarUnder the supervision of the Manager of Student Data & Information Services, performs administrative and customer service duties related to the enrollment of students according to established CDE and DCSD policies and procedures; and maintenance of student data in the Douglas County School District student information system. Understands and works effectively with a diverse range of entities/partners. Updates data and documents to files and evaluates records for compliance with requirements. Digitally stores and archives records for compliance with requirements into the Student Information System. Works closely with the staff in each school responsible for student records.

Receive and process requests for student records upon proper authorization and identification in compliance with district, state and federal guidelines.
Collaborate with receiving school(s) on transitioning students/families from Central Enrollment.
Collaborate with schools to implement data retention protocols as required by district, state and federal guidelines.
Provide support to neighborhood schools. (Training and Coverage).
Train and support summer registration staff.
Collaborate with neighborhood schools on auditing record retention and removal.
Audit and monitor attendance and verification for October Count.
Enroll all new students for the schools participating in the On-Line Registration (OLR) process into the Student Information System (Infinite Campus) and additional databases that provide the necessary student and family information.
Verify authenticity of legal documents that are presented to establish eligibility of a pupil to attend the district schools (e.g. examines lease contracts, deeds of trust, warrant deeds as well as purchase contracts to determine residency, divorce decrees, and parent plans).
Collaborate on guardianship, home study, foreign and exchange students, co-residency and emancipated students.
Disseminate information to process re-activated students, withdrawn students, change of address, alternate mailing address, intra-district transfers, Non-Residents and School of Choice changes into various databases.
Scan permanent records into the student record database (digital repository) provided through the OLR process.
Responsible for the data integrity of student information in the Student Information System.
Collaborate with the stakeholders of district boundaries and attendance areas.
High School or Equivalent
