
What the Role Is
The District Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations, performance, and profitability of multiple car wash locations within the OPEN DISTRICT NAME district. This role ensures that locations meet company standards for customer service, operational excellence, and financial performance. The District Manager leads, coaches, and develops General Managers to drive results and foster a high-performance culture. The ideal candidate will be sales and service-driven with strong management experience. Preference will be given to local candidates.
Essential Duties/Tasks/Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a district of car washes, ensuring alignment with company goals and standards.
Drive sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction through strategic planning and performance monitoring (KPIs)
Hire, train, develop, and support location managers, ensuring strong leadership and succession planning.
Conduct regular site visits to assess operations, compliance and service quality.
Ensure consistent execution of company policies, procedures, service and safety standards.
Partner with HR and other departments to resolve employee relations issues and support talent development.
Oversee budgets, labor costs, scheduling, and quality control based on seasonal trends and historical performance.
Account for all business activities at each location including but not limited to supporting staff development, enhancing operational efficiency, driving sales and improving revenue, maintaining relationships with customers and vendors, and enhancing the organization’s image to meet overall growth objectives and sales forecasts.
Communicate regularly with every location manager via phone, email, or in-person
Communicate effectively across all levels — managers, staff, customers, and corporate leadership.
Motivate employees to complete job tasks efficiently and effectively
Facilitate damage claims and uphold safety standards at all locations.
Ensure legal compliance at all levels (local, state, federal) and resolve employee relations in partnership with HR.
Support company initiatives, including but not limited to marketing, promotions, sales, customer service, and talent management initiatives
Identify and share operational best practices to standardize performance across locations.
Support the rollout and adoption of new technology or systems to improve operational efficiency.
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
5+ years of supervisory experience in car wash, retail, or other service-related industry required. Multi-unit management experience preferred
Proven track record of driving sales and operational excellence.
Experience managing, coaching and developing staff
Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in retail systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to adapt quickly to operational changes, weather impacts, or crises
Experience managing budgets and expenses
Ability to successfully pass criminal background and motor vehicle checks
Ability to travel throughout district regularly and occasionally to Phoenix corporate support center
Ability to work outdoors in ALL weather conditions
Ability to work flexible, full-time schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Must reside in the Inland Empire area
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Job knowledge, experience, and/or understanding in the following areas is preferred
Products and services – automotive or car wash industries
Labor management Proficiency with scheduling, inventory, and point-of-sale systems
Mechanical aptitude
Industry trends Analytical thinking for interpreting reports and identifying trends
Risk management
Safety Working knowledge of safety, environmental, and compliance regulations
Competitive activity
Balance hands-on involvement with big-picture oversight
Requires the ability to interact with others, interpret spoken messages and utilize reason to resolve complex problems. Requires keyboarding, hearing and talking, frequent standing and walking, and frequent bending at the waist, twisting of the upper body, kneeling, being mobile on uneven surfaces, squeezing and crouching. Requires frequent lifting and carrying of 1-25 pounds (occasional up to 50 pounds).

What We Provide
Pay Transparency
The annual salary range for this role is $95,000 - $110,000 inclusive of target bonus. The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, relevant and demonstrated experience, education, training and certifications, and other factors permitted by law.
