District Manager
Assigned Districts - Matale, Kegalle, Hambanthota and Polonnaruwa
The District Manager – Solar Sales will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding the company’s solar energy solutions within the assigned district. The role involves developing sales strategies, managing relationships with residential, commercial, industrial and institutional customers, and leading district-level sales initiatives to achieve revenue and market share targets. The District Manager will work closely with channel partners, technical teams, project managers and internal stakeholders to ensure a seamless customer journey from lead generation to project completion, while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction and compliance.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute district-level sales plans to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets for solar energy solutions.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across the residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural and government sectors.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, channel partners, installers, consultants and other key stakeholders.
• Lead district-level business development activities, including market research, customer engagement and promotional campaigns.
• Manage the complete sales cycle, from prospecting and proposal preparation to contract negotiation and order closure.
• Coordinate with the engineering, project implementation and operations teams to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and regulatory developments to identify opportunities and mitigate business risks.
• Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline reports and performance analyses for management review.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing guidelines, contractual requirements and applicable industry regulations.
• Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, trade fairs and customer meetings to enhance brand visibility.
Candidate Profile:
• A bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing or a related field.
• A minimum of five to eight years’ experience in sales, business development or account management. Experience in the solar, renewable energy, electrical or infrastructure sectors would be preferred.
• Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and managing key customer relationships.
• A strong understanding of solar energy systems, renewable energy markets and commercial sales processes would be an advantage.
• Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• A customer-focused approach with excellent relationship-building capabilities.
