Compensation: $63,000 - $75,000 / year
About the Role
The District Manager is responsible for the operational performance of multiple outpatient clinics within an assigned district. This role provides direct leadership to clinic support staff, including Lead Medical Assistants, Medical Assistants, and Patient Concierge teams, and is accountable for ensuring efficient clinic operations, consistent execution of organizational standards, and achievement of key operational metrics. The District Manager partners closely with providers and cross-functional teams to support a high-quality patient experience and drive continuous improvement across assigned locations.

What You'll Do
Clinic Operations & Performance
- Provide operational oversight for assigned portion of clinics, ensuring alignment with organizational standards, policies, and workflows
- Monitor clinic performance and operational metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing solutions
- Ensure clinics are consistently prepared for daily operations, patient flow, and service delivery
- Conduct regular site visits to assess clinic operations, address issues, and reinforce expectations
Staff Leadership & Management
- Directly manage and support all clinic support staff, including Lead Medical Assistants, Medical Assistants, and Patient Concierge teams
- Partner with Lead Medical Assistants to support daily staffing coordination, coverage, and operational execution
- Provide coaching, feedback, and performance management for support staff, including corrective action when necessary
- Support hiring, onboarding, training, and retention of clinic support staff
- Serve as the escalation point for employee relations and operational concerns within assigned clinics
Cross-Clinic Consistency & Process Improvement
- Drive standardization of processes and workflows across assigned clinics
- Identify best practices and ensure consistent application across locations
- Balance district-level priorities with individual clinic needs to ensure operational effectiveness
Provider Partnership & Collaboration
- Collaborate with providers on day-to-day operational and clinic support staff needs
- Serve as a liaison between the MSO and providers to clinic support teams to address operational concerns
- Support a positive and productive clinical environment through effective communication and issue resolution
- Escalate provider-related concerns through appropriate leadership channels as needed
Communication & Leadership
- Serve as the primary operational contact for assigned clinics
- Communicate clearly and consistently with clinic teams, leadership, and cross-functional partners
- Lead meetings, huddles, and operational discussions to reinforce priorities and expectations
- Model professional, calm, and decisive leadership in a fast-paced clinical environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field
- Five or more years of healthcare operations experience in a clinic or medical practice setting;
- Two or more years of direct supervisory experience; and
- Multi-site management experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of outpatient clinic operations and support staff workflows
- Ability to manage and prioritize responsibilities across multiple clinic locations
- Strong leadership, coaching, and employee relations skills
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to partner collaboratively with providers and cross-functional teams
- Adaptability and resilience in fast-paced, changing environments
Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions
- This role requires regular on-site presence at assigned clinic locations and routine travel between sites. The work is performed primarily in outpatient clinical settings and involves frequent standing, walking, and direct interaction with clinic staff and providers. The position requires the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, patient-facing environment.
- The total compensation target range for this role is: $63,000 - $75,000 per hour. The salary range represents our national target range for this role.
