Job Description

District Manager – Field Sales (Matale, Anuradhapura, Ampara, Monaragala, Polonnaruwa, Kurunegala, Badulla, and Ratnapura areas)

The District Manager – Field Sales will be responsible for leading, managing, and driving the performance of on-ground sales teams focused on solar energy solutions within an assigned district. This role requires a dynamic, results-oriented leader who thrives in field environments, excels at team motivation, and consistently delivers on ambitious sales targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead a team of field sales executives working across the assigned district.

  • Plan daily field activities, including door-to-door visits, site visits, and lead generation campaigns.

  • Monitor field performance and ensure sales targets are consistently achieved.

  • Conduct regular field visits to support, guide, and motivate the sales team.

  • Identify new areas and opportunities for expansion within the district.

  • Train new and existing team members on sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer handling.

  • Build strong relationships with customers through direct interaction and site engagement.

  • Ensure accurate reporting of field activities, leads, and conversions.

  • Resolve customer concerns promptly and maintain high satisfaction levels.

Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience in field sales management. (solar, telecom, FMCG, or similar industries preferred) → (solar, telecom, FMCG, or similar industries preferred).

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-oriented environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Willingness to travel extensively within the district and work on the ground with the team.

  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to handle field challenges.

  • Experience in solar or renewable energy field sales is preferred.

  • Familiarity with local market dynamics and customer behaviour.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
