Howdy, and welcome to the Bryan District—where Texas heritage, innovation, and opportunity come together in the heart of the state. Centrally located within a short drive of Texas’ major metropolitan areas, the district is home to Texas A&M University, the iconic Blue Bell Creamery, and the world’s largest statue honoring American hero Sam Houston. The Bryan District spans a diverse landscape, from the rich agricultural lands of Milam, Burleson, and Washington Counties—recognized as the birthplace of Texas at Washington-on-the-Brazos—to the eastern corridor of Freestone, Leon, Madison, and Walker Counties, which supports vital interstate commerce along IH-45 and showcases the natural beauty of the Sam Houston National Forest. At its core, the rapidly growing Bryan-College Station area in Brazos County is consistently ranked among the nation’s fastest-growing urban regions and boasts the highest per capita population of Aggies in the world. Each fall, the energy of Aggie football season doubles the population, presenting unique operational leadership opportunities.
We are seeking a visionary District Engineer to lead the Bryan District—someone who will guide strategic transportation initiatives, inspire teams, and ensure the continued delivery of safe and reliable transportation for the traveling public. Whether serving residents or travelers passing through, the Bryan District is committed to excellence—and we invite a dynamic leader to join us in driving that mission forward… Gig ’em!
