Job Description

Are you an experienced leader in retail operations looking for your next challenge? If people describe you as an engaging leader that’s passionate about leading a great team and managing a great business, we should talk. We’re looking for someone to lead a multi-store district. This is a key role - our stores are the financial driver of our mission to put people to work.

Last year, Goodwill’s training programs helped Georgians find new or better jobs. If you want to do something that matters and be recognized for your hard work, Goodwill of North Georgia might be the place for you.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience supervising teams of 30 or more employees

  • A strong familiarity with developing multimillion-dollar budgets and developing plans to exceed financial expectations
  • Ability to build and maintain positive and productive working relationships
  • Experience creating and leading projects
  • The ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement while embracing it yourself
  • A focus on establishing, maintaining, and improving Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
  • Demonstrated capacity to embrace change
  • Demonstrated decision-making abilities
  • Experience with hiring, training, and developing employees
  • Proficiency with the MS Office suite

What you’ll be doing:

As a District Director, you will supervise, manage, and lead each of your store's managers, and will be responsible for the 350-400 employees on their teams. You’ll consistently look for ways to establish and maintain a healthy team culture and manage an operationally sound and financially profitable business. This is an opportunity for leaders that are open to change, and continuously looking for ways to grow the business. We’re eager for new ideas and challenge ourselves to find new and innovative ways to lead our teams and manage our business. While you will have time for planning and organization, our directors are in the field and at their stores most days.
