The office of the District Attorney is recruiting for a District Attorney Supervising Investigator to lead a team of investigators and support staff across one or more units. In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for managing complex, sensitive, and high-profile investigations; coordinating multi-agency efforts involving potential criminal and civil law violations; overseeing the quality and performance of assigned staff; and reviewing investigative procedures and evidence collection to ensure accuracy and compliance.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Assignment: Assignments may be made to any location throughout the County depending on the needs of the department.
Travel: A valid California Class C Driver License is required to carry out the essential job-related functions of this position. Mileage reimbursement and proof of automobile liability insurance must be maintained.

Examples of duties

Applicants Must Meet All Of The Following:

Certificate:
Must possess a current CA P.O.S.T. Intermediate Certificate or higher.

Education: Associate's Degree (or equivalent units) from an accredited university or college in Criminal Justice, Administration of Justice, Criminology, Law Enforcement, Business Administration, Behavioral Science, Social Science or closely related field. A list of completed coursework is required unless an applicant possesses an Associate's or higher degree.

Experience:
Two (2) years of experience as a Senior District Attorney Investigator for the San Bernardino County District Attorney's Office, Bureau of Investigation.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have extensive investigative experience and excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
