
Job Title: Foreman Underground Distribution
Department: Operations
Reports To: General Foreman
FLSA Status: Non- Exempt
Work Schedule: Four 10-hour days per week.
Position Purpose:
The Underground Distribution Foreman works as a first level supervisor. This supervisor manages crews involved in the execution of the installation, construction and maintenance of underground electric distribution and service lines. These crews also handle transformers, meters, metering equipment, electrical substations, and related equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Work safely while supervising crew members in the construction or maintenance work of energized and de-energized underground electrical systems
Competent in the skills required to maintain energized and deenergized underground conductors
Manage resources such as labor, material, and equipment during the execution of daily schedule
Develop and deliver Pre-Job Briefing and ensure participation by all crew members, visitors, and support personnel
Lead, motivate, and train junior employees
Enforce company policies to include safety regulations and standards
Provide guidance and technical guidance to Linemen, Apprentices and Groundmen
Complete reports and forms related to assigned projects
Communicate and work with Customer Oversites and customers
Plan and Setup Temporary Traffic Control Work Zones or work with third-party contractors to complete TTCWZ
Read and interpret construction drawings, job prints, and comprehend scope of work.
All other duties as assigned

The physical demands described here are typical of those that must be met by a team-member to perform the essential functions of their job in powerline construction.
While performing the responsibilities of this job, team-members require talking or listening. Frequently, we require the team-member to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, and feel; and reach with hands and arms.
The team-member frequently requires performing rigorous physical labor; sit; climb different types of structures (wood, steel); balance; and stoop, kneeling, crouching or crawling. Team-members frequently lift or move up to or in-excess of 80 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
While performing the responsibilities of this job, team-members may frequently experience fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. Team-members are occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Employees perform powerline construction work outside and subject it to diverse weather conditions.

Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a journey-level lineman engaged in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of distribution electrical systems
High School diploma or equivalent
Ability to travel and work for extended periods in multiple locations.
Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record
